Generally, the structure of master's programs in Sweden does not differ from the other European nations, with the typical duration being one or two years awarding 60 or 120 ECTS credits, respectively. In Sweden, 60 ECTS credit masters are called magisterexamen or magister examination, and the 120 ECTS credit masters are called masterexamen or a master’s degree.
